Déjà Vu

Déjà Vu

I have been here before, I've walked through this door, I can't remember how or when, But this now feels like then. It feels just like it felt, The day she made my heart melt, Memories can be deceiving, These feelings I'm stealing. I have been here before, She walked me through this door, But that was when, She held my hand. Her touch still lingers on my skin, Only it's coming from within, She's no longer there, And I'm still going nowhere. This empty room whispers in my ear, Oh, how I've missed you dear, Will you leave before you stay? With the ghosts of yesterday. The heart remembers more, Than the brain could ever store. And walking through this door, I fall again into before.
