Holiday Of Ice

5 days after Mid-Michigan was hit with an ice storm the trees are still covered. Over 440,000 residence/business lost power from falling trees, branches, power lines, and even power poles fell. Emergency crews have come from several states, giving up their holiday at home to help restore power to us as fast as possible. As we end day 5 and head into day 6, they have reduced the outages to under 115,000. Christmas Eve it got down to 7F (-14.5C) actual temp with wind chills dropping it another 10 degrees. It was COLD!
