Lower Antelope Canyon

One of the first stops on our trip was to Lower Antelope Canyon near Page, AZ. It's an amazingly beautiful slot canyon, which continues to be sculpted by annual flash floods. Obviously it was a lovely day when we visited, any sign of rain and you probably want to stay well away. I had heard it was super crowded (it's pretty famous, and easily accessible), and we were thinking about skipping it. Would have been a bad move - it's really excellent, and in early October the crowds were fine: you do need to join a little tour group to go down, but plenty of time to wander around and take photos.
