These are the official mascots of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to be held in Tokyo in 2020. Each bears the logo design for their respective games on their helmet. On the left(navy blue): Miraitowa, mascot for the Olympic Games. His helmet bears the Olympic Tokyo logo. Although it may look like a basic check design, it is actually a traditional Japanese pattern used on kimono cloth etc. Mirai means the future.未来 On the right(deep pink): Someity, mascot for the Paralympic Games.
