A view of Daya River from the Dhauli Temple....

In the pic..the Daya River can be seen..it is believed that the river had turned red...during the Kalinga war...presumed to be fought here......due to mass killings of soldiers...!! This disheartened King Ashoka....and hence he bulit the Dhauli Temple on the Dhauli Hills to attain peace!
