The Victoria Memorial Hall in Kolkata is one of the two most iconic landmarks of the city. The Monument is mostly captured in sunny winter afternoons but I feel the real charm of the Memorial Hall can be felt in a rainy morning when the surrounding gardens are dripping wet. The contrast of the white marble and the black monsoon clouds is awe strikingly magnificent. During a visit to the city one must see the Monument first hand to experience its explicit marble works and beauty.
