The Dark Light

Buachaille Etive Mòr, Glencoe, Scotland. I trudged up the next mountain, Buachaille Etive Beag, in the dark with a head torch for a forecast perfectly clear sky and great dawn. Reality was freezing conditions with the mountain top covered in mist, cloud and snow. Having sat freezing up top for 3 hours waiting for the weather to clear in order to get a good shot (of this mountain), it never did. This shot was taken on the road back home as a burst of sunlight hit the mountain (too late).
