Budaixi of Taiwan（素還真）

Budaixi of Taiwan臺灣布袋戲 Budaixi, the hand puppet show, is a traditional art from southern China. It is now very popular in Taiwan. It has many fans and also its own TV show. Traditional puppets are simple. Puppets have wooden heads and cloth bodies. Puppets are like cloth bags. Puppet masters put their hands in the cloth bags. They perform puppet shows with the “bags.” So, budaixi also means “cloth bag opera.”
