Islam dignified prayer and raised its status as the greatest pillar of Islam after the Shahadah (Testimony of Faith). Ibn `Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Islam is based on(the following) five (principles): 1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Messenger. 2. To perform the (compulsory congregational) Salah dutifully and perfectly. 3.
