Nasi Tumpeng

Tumpeng is a Indonesian cone-shaped rice dish covered with banana leaf, with side dishes of vegetables and meat originating from Javanese cuisine. The rice itself may be plain rice, uduk rice, or yellow rice. Traditionally featured in the slamatan ceremony, it is a symbol of prayer to God. It is eaten by being dredged from the side instead of being cut, until the tip fall which symbolizes the prayers have been accepted. In 2014, it has became one of the official national dish of Indonesia.
