It is a sculptural group in polychrome terracotta, dated to 1492 and kept in the church of Sant'Anna dei Lombardi in Naples. Christ lies on the ground and around him, kneeling on the two sides of the body, are placed Joseph of Arimathea, on the left, and Nicodemus on the right. Behind Christ is the Virgin, in the process of fainting, and Maria Salome. With his hands joined, is Mary of Cleophas near St. John on the right side of the viewer, while on the left, is a desperate Magdalene.
